CHINATOWN FOOD & CULTURAL WALKING TOUR
Saturday, July 12, 2014 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm
Email: ecitravel@aol.com
Take an Asian culinary and cultural journey with Elizabeth without leaving Manhattan
Chinatown is the largest Chinese community in the Western Hemisphere and Manhattan’s only growing ethnic neighborhood, with residents from all parts of Asia. It is also one of the city’s densest, with hundreds of restaurants, tea houses, bakeries, and street vendors all within a roughly 50 block area. With so many food options, Chinatown has overwhelming possibilities for noshing.
Join Elizabeth as we head to Chinatown to sample steamed sponge cake, wonton soup, savory hand-pulled noodles, Cantonese BBQ pork belly, roast pork, egg tart (made famous in Macau), fried sesame balls, pork bun, Chinese tea, Tofu Fa (hot Tohu), rice cake (Puto), dim sum with tea, and much more.
